Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major cause of mortality and morbidity. Many survivors suffer from concentration deficit, fatigue, depression and low resistance to effort. These symptoms affect their quality of life, their functional level and have a significant impact on primary health care resources utilisation

One-third of children with concussion have ongoing physical, thinking, emotional or behavioral symptoms beyond one month, known as persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS).

Trauma impacts everyone and yet it receives relatively little attention. Despite occasional media stories, most of us do not appreciate the full toll that trauma exerts as it kills and maims our children, friends, and family.
